MENTAL HEALTH WEEK
About Us
Founded in 2018, QCMHA is a student-run club at the Smith School of Business that works to support the mental health of all students at Queen's University.
This year we obtained mental health data from the commerce student body. Over 25% of students gave a 4/5 or 5/5, when asked how often they felt their mental health has prevented them from reaching their full academic potential. We plan to pop the stigma surrounding mental health with our dedicated, diverse and driven team that is motivated to create positive change. Our focus is to promote mental health and wellness throughout the commerce community and provide support for our peers.
Why Mental Health Is Important To Us
Constantina, 4th Year
"I personally struggle with mental illness and have watched friends face challenges with their mental health, thus advocacy is a priority of mine."
Meredith, 1st Year
"What I've learnt is that it's okay to not be okay. I want to inspire others in the Queen's community to put their mental health on their priority list."
Alex, 3rd Year
"Mental health means being emotionally reactive and taking care of myself so that I can take care of others"
